Best of the after sun products

Still have a vacation in the Sun on the cards, or even in the U.K. where it may be sun, rain or even hail any time of the year?

"Clarins After Sun Gel Ultra Soothing" could be just what you need to maintain a perfect tan and silky smooth skin.

When we had a week's Spring holiday in Menorca in May one thing we forgot to pack was after sun cream, lotion or gel. Damn, I thought as we arrived at the airport and I realised I had left it all at home. It is becoming all too easy to forget creams and lotions due to restrictions on what can go where in hand luggage and suitcases.

Oh well I could have thought, I will buy some when I get there but for some reason this thought escaped me as I ran like a lunatic around the airport shop. No cheap and cheerful sun products to be found I opted for the Clarins Ultra Soothing Gel and was more than pleasantly surprised.

It was above the price I would usually pay at £14 plus. Yes £14 plus! However it did have plenty of positives:

  • It smells glorious. The after scent stays lingers on your skin. Although it has a perfume Hubby used the same product and there were no complaints from him. The smell is hard to describe but trust me it lifts your mood and has the feel good factor.
  • The gel borders between a gel and a cream. It is pale orange in colour and is absorbed quickly and easily on the skin.
  • It leaves skin feeling smooth and supple with no dry patches at all.
  • We were not sure if it contained an after sun tan maintainer but it did prolong our golden glows. The compliments flowed thick and fast when I returned to work. I was such a healthy colour and not yje usual post holiday dull brown.
  • The product was packed in an easy to access flip lid tube.
  • Our purchase contained 150ml but it did go a long way. We used it liberally and when we arrived back in the UK it had almost gone.

We thought that the airport was pricey but maybe it was not. Looking online the productt retails from £13 up to £18 plus. As it was such a good product £14 represented fairly good value and I would definitely buy it again.

The online advertising claims it is,

"Highly refreshing thanks to Watermelon extract, it instantly brings a feeling of well-being. Perfectly moisturized, soft and supple, the skin feels wonderfully comfortable again."

And I have to say I agree.

For us the only negative was the price.

But we liked the product so much we wanted to share our experience with others and give this after sun product a big thumbs up.

10 out of 10
