How to trim your dog's nails
Here in England some people still proudly boast that we are a nation of animal lovers.

Tell that to a fox literally being hounded to death before it is ripped apart as it struggles to survive or a race horse that dies during a race.

Scratch the surface and cases of animal cruelty are on the increase; this includes in the workplace as well as in our homes.

Undercover footage often captures the most brutal incidents in slaughterhouses but too many go unnoticed.

This woman has been lucky enough to share her home with six dogs over 45 years and all but one have been of the rescued variety.

It has been a steep learning curve in some cases but always with the animal's best interests at heart.

Nothing can prepare you for the first dog you have to agree to euthanise no matter how old or ill that animal is.

But then each time it happens again the pain intensifies.

Maybe sharing our experiences will help other pet lovers and owners with the many associated tasks including pet health, grooming, exercise, diet, TLC and more.

[Note: while we will aim to share useful information in good faith this woman is not medically trained. There are times when your animal needs to be seen by a qualified veterinary]
